ALL GARBAGE MUST BE BAGGED.

Items Garbage Trucks Cannot Pick Up

• Aerosol cans (unless punctured)
• Animal carcasses or waste
• Any toxic or poisonous materials (chemicals)
• Batteries
• Fertilizer
• Freon containers
• Oil
• Bricks, iron, or cement chunks or blocks that would damage the trucks
• Yard waste and lawn trimmings

Items That May Be Brought to Elkader Site

These are items garbage trucks cannot pick up, but can be brought to us. 

• Any appliances (TVs, dehumidifiers, microwave ovens, refrigerators, stoves, etc.)
• Computers
• Tires
• Paint (unless dried)
• Wire or fence posts
